Hella Hot or Hella Not?
If you haven't figured it yet each week new singles in Japan are released. Since we're always on top of our game and we always want to deliver the hot news and let you know which song is hot and which is not we now have a featured song review section. Every week we will pick a song by an artist before it's released and we will review it for you.

Past Archives

10/9: The Brilliant Green - I'm So Sorry Baby
Next Week: Fayray - Touch Me, Kiss Me
This Week: Ayumi Hamasaki - Voyage

Voyage / 浜崎あゆみThe newest creation from Ayu is "Voyage"! This song is used as the theme to the Japanese show "My Little Chef". Unfortunately to most of her fans this single only has 4 tracks! I'm still wonder why she doesn't create those singles where she loads up with like 12 tracks on em but oh well AVEX is getting cheap nowadays and the economy isn't to good.

Enough with the economy now! Onto the song! The song starts off with one of those children sounding song intros then it becomes a piano. The song is quite harmonious and soothing. There are a large variety of instruments used like the violin, guitar, piano... etc. It's nice to hear how she is mixing this all together. The song can be considered midtempo but it picks up slightly in the chorus. As for Ayu's performance in the song... it's pretty clear that she has a few cracks here and there but what's new? She does sing her heart out as usual so props to her!

Hella Hot or Hella Not!?!?!? Hmmmm, while we have heard catchy tunes from Ayu we are quite disappointed with this song. With what she has released in the past we can't grade her like everyone else. She has to AMAZE us and while this single is good it isn't really making us scream for joy. Sorry Ayu but we're sticking a 7 on you.
