Hella Hot or Hella Not?
If you haven't figured it yet each week new singles in Japan are released. Since we're always on top of our game and we always want to deliver the hot news and let you know which song is hot and which is not we now have a featured song review section. Every week we will pick a song by an artist before it's released and we will review it for you.

Past Archives

12/4: Mai Kuraki - Make My Day
Next Week: Rip Slyme - Blue Bebop
This Week: Misia - Back Block

Misia is back with yet another single and this time she has a new tune to it! Her last track was a beautiful ballad but this time she takes a 180 tune and tries to explore hip hop. With her golden voice she just might have a talent in this type of music too!

The song starts off very beaty and serious sounding. Sorta like the climax of an action movie. Misia begins by singing the chorus and the whole song is quite catchy. The beat is very danceable and there really isn't much need to mix it. It's made right for the clubs! Her vocals are always strong as always. Easily one of the best in Japan and she manages to show just how good she is every song! She adds a lil english to this track also. I think I can make out some of it but the main point of the song is the beat!

Hella Hot or Hella not?!?! Hmmm at first glance this song is a kick ass song! As we said it's very catchy but I think it can be played out very easily too. Just depends on how much it has been played but still... anyone with Misia's voice singing hip-hop calls for a good song! And to all you haters out there Misia does have one of the best voices in Japan. Don't even question it or bring out your indies stuff just cause you hate mainstream Japan!
