If you haven't figured it yet each week new singles in Japan are released. Since
we're always on top of our game and we always want to deliver the hot news and
let you know which song is hot and which is not we now have a featured song
review section. Every week we will pick a song by an artist before it's released
and we will review it for you.

Happy Holidays!
Next Week: Chemistry - My Gift To You
This Week: Mr Children - Hero, BoA - Jewel Song (Dual Feature)
Ok here is the name of the game... 200
words or less to say whatever we want on each song! You can count also! :P
Alright so we're starting on Mr. Children latest "Hero"
It's been a long time since Mr. Children have
released a single and this single marks the return of their lead singer! The
song is a ballad just like their last hit. It begins with some nice guitar
chords and enters the first verse. Right from the start you can tell that the
group has not lost a beat. The words are sang beautifully and in perfect unison.
While this song rubs off to us as a recycled "Kimi Ga Suki" there is a
part of it that sounds totally new. I can't really put my finger on what though. The
beat is nice and soft throughout and there is even a violin in the background.
The guitar as always is played just as good as anyone! Mr. Children is really
making their final bid to get that “Best Rock Group” of the year award and
maybe even the best male group for that matter! Whether or not you’re a fan of
theirs do get this single! It’s defiantly worth it!

What so how many is it? 4 or 5 singles now that
BoA has released in just 2002 alone? This chick has been doing it all! Starting
off the year as something small and now she’s really beginning to tear up the
charts! Her newest hit Jewel Song is the TV theme for the J-Drama 'Eve no Subete' while her other track “Beside
You” is the theme for the new anime 'Asobot'! “Jewel Song” starts off with
a few English lines, which in my opinion is getting better. At times this kind
of reminds me of a Fayray song, which is actually a GOOD thing! The song itself
is very mellow and doesn’t really pick up into a dance track or anything. I
guess BoA will have to slow dance to this one… not that I don’t want to slow
dance with her or anything :P While the song is pretty catchy and it’s a nice
ballad I don’t feel that BoA sang as good as she could in this single. I know
she can sing ballads very well but her voice just doesn’t sound as crisp or as
sharp. Maybe she’s just tired from all her work but do check this one out ^_^
