This Week: Mika Nakashima - Helpless Rain

Helpless Rain / 中島美嘉 Another new single for the up and coming Mika! :D Seriously if I were to pick the next big then to hit Japan I would bet it on Mika Nakashima. Why? Well she simply has the vocals to sing as well as the Misias and Onitsuka Chihiros plus her songs are in a category (J-R&B) which is becoming very popular in Japan! As for her current release it was produced by Ochi Masato and it's surprise surprise an R&B song!

To our delight the single is a lot better then her last one "One Survive". It sounds better then her top single "Stars" but I don't think it'll sell as well as "Stars". But we will see. The song is a soft R&B well we would like to say ballad but it's really in the middle of a ballad and a dance track. There are nice background vocals from some good back up singers and her English is good in this song! Mika's vocals carry this beautiful song as the chorus can really be catchy! The verses are well done and we can't stress enough the fact that she sounds magnificent. Oh did we also say that she looks great too! :)

So hella hot or hella not? After the R&B crap Chemistry gave us last week we're quite glad Mika is here to save J-R&B! HELLA HOT!!!!!!!! And we're not just referring to her but the song also! LoL. We absolutely love this one and we love it when Mika sings her heart out in songs like this! She surely is talented enough to dominate the J-Pop scene and you might say that this is the biggest over statement of the year but we are sticking by it... Mika can be just as good as Hikki or better! We mean it too! Fine you don't believe us, quote us on it too and we will see 2 years from now.

Next week get set cause Kyoko Fukada is gonna make a appearance on the show and the week after that we booked the cutey Aya Matsuura!
